HEALTHY LIVING BEGINS WITH RELIABLE ACCESS TO HEALTHY FOOD
Healthy living starts with access to healthy food and to feeling a part of a caring community where people value, respect and support one another.
The Y provides healthy food to our community primarily through two Y community pantries: the Michelle Becote-Jackson Y Fresh Mart located at the Y in Druid Hill and the Y Fresh Mart located at the Y in Pasadena. Food is also distributed through various Y Head Start locations and via our Community School food pantries.
We are deeply appreciative of the generous partners and funders who support this critical community work: Amerigroup, Maryland Food Bank, McCormick Flavor For Life, and Caring Cupboard.
With food distribution now a permanent part of Y operations, the Y is currently expanding our operations in 2023.
