Types of Specialty Camps

Sports Camps

Sports camps are available to campers entering grades 1-6. These camps do not include swimming.

    Learn the fundamentals of soccer as well as the importance of teamwork. Experience the game by playing different positions. Work on footwork to improve your game.
    If it involves a net, you’re playing it! Learn and play traditional and unique versions of net sports including basketball, soccer, volleyball, badminton, pickleball and more.
    Campers will improve their dribbling, passing, shooting, defense, and offense skills. Play scrimmages and games in a friendly and fun environment.
    Play all of our original Sports Mix offerings that campers love! Soccer, basketball, floor hockey, lacrosse and more round out your week of games and activities.

Creative Art Camps

Creative art camps are available to campers entering grades 1-6. These camps do not include swimming.

    Create, invent and make art that is personal and expressive! Dabble in a little bit of everything as you learn new drawing, printing, sculpting, collage and mixed media techniques everyday!
    Casting calls are out for a week of theater! Act out scripted short plays, make props, design costumes and write skits. The week concludes with a short performance.
    Have you ever wanted to invent your own board game? Play tons of games and leave with a prototype of a game you design! End the week with a life-size board game competition!

    Learn new painting styles by imitating some of the greatest artists in the world. Start with basic finger painting and move onto water colors, acrylics and more advanced styles. Finish the week with a paint-your-own pottery experience.

Science Camps

Science camps are available to campers entering grades 1-6. These camps do not include swimming.

    Learn the elements of forensic science to solve mysteries. With a crime solving partner, you'll create letters using invisible ink, decode ciphered messages and solve puzzles. Can you use clues to solve the mystery and escape before time runs out?
    Have fun and get creative by building projects with blocks of all shapes and sizes. If you're a fan of interlocking or wooden blocks, or you love popular block mining video games, this camp is for you!
    To the untrained eye, advanced science can often look magical. Experiment with science that will dazzle your friends and learn a card trick or two along the way!

    Join us for a week of everything animals! Learn about creatures big and small, dissect owl pellets, make toys for local animal shelters, and learn the essentials to caring for animals. The week includes a trip to the Maryland Zoo in Baltimore.
    Find out what's cooking and how! Learn where food comes from and how it grows, investigate the science behind what happens in your kitchen, learn how to use fresh herbs and spices for healthy cooking, and visit a local farm to see how animals, farm lands and greenhouses all help produce our food.

Travel Camps

Travel camps are great for campers who love a good day trip! Most trips take place between 9am - 4pm, but some may require departure as early as 8am and return as late as 6pm. Rates include admission and transportation. Travel camps are available to campers entering grades 4-6 and 7-10.

  • EXPLORERS (entering grades 4-6)
    Enjoy all the highlights of traditional day camp, plus travel off-site twice a week to local destinations like the movies, bowling, skating, mini golf, museums, and more!
