With homework on hold, summer provides an opportunity for families to focus on other facets of growth and development. At Y Camp, children can unlock new skills, realize hidden talents, and learn that there are no limits to what they can achieve. The skills developed, friendships forged with children from other backgrounds, and life lessons learned are what help shape youth into positive people who are unafraid to try new things and believe they can succeed.
REGISTER AND SAVE!
The registration fee is a one-time, non-refundable, non-transferable per camper fee. The amount of the fee is based on the date of your initial registration:
- Mar 1 - 31: $20 fee
- Apr 1 - 30: $30 fee
- May 1 - 31: $40 fee
- Jun 1 - Sept 1: $50 fee
During your initial registration, you must accept a waiver stating that you agree to be charged a one-time, non-refundable, non-transferable registration fee (per camper). The fee will be added to your Y account and charged to the credit card used at the time of registration. If the fee is $0 during a promotion, you must still accept the waiver. Please Note: If you register for additional camp weeks at a later date, the waiver will reappear and must be accepted, however you will not be charged an additional registration fee.

Y MEMBER CAMP RATES In order to qualify for member rates, the child you are registering must have an active Y membership that remains active from the time of registration throughout the entire camp season. For family membership holders, the membership must be in the name of the parent/guardian registering the child. If a membership is purchased after registration, the member rate cannot be applied.
DEPOSITS Camp deposits are required to hold your child's space in each week of camp. Deposits are per week/per camper and are non-refundable, non-transferable, and are applied to the total camp fee. If camp is paid in full during the initial registration, a portion equal to the deposit is considered non-refundable and non-transferable.
- Y day camps deposits are $25
- Camp Spencer overnight camp deposits are $50
- Camp Hashawha overnight camp deposits are $50
- Puh'tok day camp deposits are $100
- Puh'tok overnight camp deposits are $200
Deposits are not subject to discounts.
OPEN DOORS FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE Financial assistance is available through our Open Doors assistance program. Applications will be accepted starting January 1, 2020. Please apply early as funding may be limited. Due to a change made by the MD State Department of Childcare, we are no longer able to accept CCS vouchers for camp. We strongly encourage families who use this service to please apply for Y financial assistance. APPLY HERE. Discounts and promotions cannot be combined with financial assistance.
BALANCE OF WEEKLY CAMP FEES Payments for Y day camps will be automatically drafted from the payment method used at the time of registration 14 days prior to the start of the camp week.
Payments for overnight camps will be automatically drafted from the payment method used at the time of registration 30 days prior to the start of the camp week.
A complete payment schedule is included in the Camp Parent Manual. If the balance is not paid, the camper will not be allowed to attend and the slot may be reassigned.
CANCELLATIONS All changes and cancellations must be made in writing and include the camper’s full name, camp location, dates of the weeks to be cancelled, and a description of the request. All requests must be submitted to the Customer Service office either by fax at 410-779-9426 or email to firstname.lastname@example.org. Deposits and registration fees are non-refundable and non-transferable.
If a day camp week is cancelled two weeks prior, the deposit will be forfeited and any further balance paid will be refunded. Cancellations made with less than two weeks notice will not be accepted and all fees will be non-refundable.
For overnight camp, cancellation requests must be made 30 days in advance.

All Y Camps are certified by the MD Department of Health and most camps are ACA accredited. This means we run all of our camps according to the best policies and practices in the industry. We voluntarily go through rigorous inspections by outside professionals to ensure we continue to exceed state regulations in health, safety, programming, qualifications, training, emergency management plans, and more - up to 300 standards in all!
All Y Camp team members undergo a minimum of 30 hours of training including CPR and First Aid. Our thorough review process includes a half-day of leading real camp scenarios, reference and background checks, and multiple interviews.
