The Y provides mentor trainings through the Maryland Mentoring Resource Center (MMRC). MMRC is open to all mentors in any mentoring program in Maryland and has trained thousands of mentors throughout the region.
Mentor training programs are regularly scheduled to provide mentors with resources and guidance to further develop their mentor/mentee relationship and create longer-lasting and fulfilling experiences.

Career Readiness & College Preparation for Mentees
A common goal for youth is career development and attending college.
This training will provide information on how mentors can effectively assist mentees find jobs and internships based on their interest. This training will also provide steps for helping prepare for college (applying for FAFSA, visiting schools, ACT/SAT, etc.) and resources for finding scholarships and grants.
