Participation in Y Programs

Being a part of a supportive, caring community is essential to good health and well-being. That’s why we’re doubling down on Y membership as the unifying hub of Y community life. 

Beginning January 1, 2023, all Y Community School families will be offered a Y family membership for just $10 per month. This includes everyone in your household and provides access to all Y family centers in central Maryland with full Y member benefits. Learn more here. 

 

 

Largely funded by the Family League of Baltimore, the Y is a leader as a Community Schools agency. Community Schools are located in neighborhoods of extreme poverty and are designated for added support to address issues like hunger, which prevents a child from learning and thriving.  Working with the principal, families and other community stakeholders, the Y operates in several Community Schools throughout Baltimore, where an on-site Y Community Schools Director and/or Coordinator facilitates fundamental supports for students such as access to food, proper clothing and school supplies which enable students to do what they came to school for in the first place -- to learn.
